Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 8-10 minutes
Yield: 16 brownies
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup evaporated milk
- 1.5 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup cannabis infused-butter (6 oz.)
- ½ cup all purpose flour
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 ½ cups pretzel sticks, crushed
- 2 Tbsp. bourbon caramel sauce
- 1 Tbsp. coarse sea salt
Method:
Begin by placing 1 cup of the pretzel sticks in a Ziploc bag. Crush the pretzel sticks with a rolling pin or mallet until coarse (these will go directly into the brownie mix). Break the remaining ½ cup of pretzel sticks into 1/4 pieces (these will be for the top of the brownies).
Combine sugar and evaporated milk in a large sauce pan. Set heat to high and stir frequently until the mixture begins to boil, then reduce heat to low. At this point, the mixture should be frothy and should have nearly doubled in volume.
Continue stirring and simmer another 3-4 minutes. Add the cannabis infused butter and chocolate chips , stirring until both are completely melted. Finish by adding 1 cup crushed pretzels and all of the flour, stirring thoroughly to combine. Pour mixture into a lightly greased 8″ x 8″ baking dish, add remaining ½ cup pretzels on top. Drizzle with caramel sauce and refrigerate 20-30 minutes. Cut entire pan into 16 equal pieces.
*Dosage – 1 brownie is approximately 2 mild doses (depending on how strong your cannabutter is). I recommend starting with half a brownie and working your way up. For this recipe I used a ratio of 1.5 ounces fresh trim to 1 lb butter. Potency will depend on the percentage of THC in the cannabis used.
Tip: Gluten-free pretzels and coconut flour can be substituted in this recipe for those of you who are sensitive to gluten or dairy.
